Lisbon in November means, among others, 20+ degrees Celsius, flowers in bloom, and glorious sunsets by the waterfront. Monday night we returned home after a long weekend spent in Europe’s sunniest capital and, looking out of the window as I am writing this, I am thinking that maybe we should have stayed for a bit longer. 🙂
We booked a hotel in the area we like most – Praça das Flores – and took it really easy. The idea was to enjoy everything and achieve nothing. It was, after all, our third time together in Lisbon. We still, however, managed to see a lot and return home with as many memories as if after a long holiday.
We cherished the romantic and pastel coloured architecture, the breakfasts in our balcony in Príncipe Real with the sun rising above the terracotta rooftops, lingering around the quaint and extremely picturesque Praça das Flores, and watching the sunset over the river at Cais do Sodré, a glass of rosé in hand. Every now and then, I remembered to take some photos.
