Amsterdam`s beauty becomes almost unbearable in summer, when the roses are in full bloom. White, red, yellow, pink… their soft, colourful petals are a nice contrast to the city`s brick walls they`re climbing on, inviting you to slow down, and admire their beauty.
Wednesday last week, on June 1st, it was time to take a break from work, walk the city streets in the company of friends, brunch together in the sun, at Bakers & Roasters Kadijksplein, and, yes, it was time to stop and smell the roses. There were plenty of them on the Entrepotdok. 🙂

Entrepotdok is one of my favourite areas of Amsterdam. Like a little oasis in the city.
Same for me! Also very close by. We should sometimes go for lunch there, at Bloem. 🙂
So evocative of the best times I have had in Amsterdam. The smell of roses in the air, the gorgeous architecture, great coffee and food… and even sunshine. Regards Peet
