The Christmas Market in Dordrecht, which has taken place this weekend, is considered to be the best in the Netherlands. It is for sure the biggest in the country.
So I wanted to go there and see it with my own eyes.
I was indeed impressed with the size of the market, its almost 200 stands spreading along streets and continuing all the way to the harbour area of Dordrecht, a town with a rich history and considered to be one of the oldest in the Netherlands.
Lots of visitors were filling the streets and the pubs along the way and, after seeing enough of the market, we started to explore the more quiet alleys and canals.
The Christmas mood has definitely got a hold on me, so I am looking forward to celebrate it soon. 🙂
