Briefly, 2012 was a year of new beginnings and of continuing to discover Amsterdam by means of photography.
Compared to 2010 and 2011, this year was by far the most relaxing and enjoyable one. The need of learning and adapting was easily replaced by that of indulging and taking it all easy. The new people that came into my life contributed to this considerably.
As a side effect, I gave up on the Dutch lessons completely and, although my knowledge of the language improved with time, this was a consequence of every day life rather than of studying.
Towards the end of 2012, I made the big step of leaving the West of Amsterdam behind and moved into the heart of the city. At the same time, I started to like the East side more and more.
Here are some bits and pieces of my 2012:
2012 started with lots of snow and I could not have been happier to see all this beauty right on my street:
I used to go out and take photos whenever time allowed:
Having coffee on the terrace on a sunny Winter day:
The tram station I used every morning when going to work:
Breakfast in February:
Peaceful Antillenstraat, as seen from my window:
Spring found me with an agenda, an attempt of getting myself organised:
The beginning of a healthier lifestyle:
The more photos I took, the more time I spent editing:

Glad to hear you like Amsterdam just as much as I do!
I do love it, and I just came back from a 3-day vacations there. Every time I go, I wish I could actually live there. I\’ll work on that 🙂 Thanks for inspiring me even more!
Good luck! Maybe one day you will live here! 🙂
