If it`s sunny, warm and weekend, then there is one destination I can think of immediately: Flevopark!
Situated at the very end of tram 7 and 14, in the East, Flevopark is definitely worth a visit. I have been there so many times before, I have wrote about it on almost every occasion and I am still recommending this to anyone interested in spending some peaceful time in Amsterdam, away from the crowds that populate Leidseplein, Rembrandtplein, Dam Square and Vondelpark.
These photos are taken last week, on the first warm weekend of the year, part of which I spent – of course – in Flevopark! 🙂 The last two are of the area nearby (Molukkenstraat and Javaplein).

Lovely photos. I live near Flevopark and go walking there most days, it is a great little park and I\’m always spotting lovely birds there. Have you ever visited Diemerpark? It\’s near Flevopark and also worth exploring!
Hi Naomi! Glad you like the photos! I have never been to Diemenpark, but I hope to get there one day. I will put the photos on the blog, so that you can tell me what you think. 🙂
[…] My walk continued even more into the Oud Zuid (before I headed towards Flevopark to meet people and have beers in the sun!), but I keep those photos for a future post, not to […]
