The Christmas lights are already on in Amsterdam and the Christmas market is in place along the Damrak. It`s the first time I`m seeing such a market in Amsterdam (German style, that is) and I can only be happy for this.
Warm (on-the-spot made) Dutch stroopwafels and pancakes, huge German style pretzels, Spanish churros with chocolate sauce, Italian cold meats, British fudge in all sort of flavours and colours, Belgian waffels etc. And, of course, the Glühwein! It`s clear I need to go back to the Christmas market many times before it closes, as today I could only have a stroopwafel.
The only thing missing from this picture is the snow, but I am sure it will come just at the right time.
