There is something about Paris that will always make your heart sing. And how could it be any different when the city itself was built with the only purpose of being beautiful, marvelous, the most beautiful thing the world has ever seen?
Taking around 600 photos on a single day seems effortless when you are in Paris, but this post is not about the streets of the city and the wonders they bring to the eye. It`s about the apartment I have chosen for our stay here.
If on my first visit to Paris some 3 years ago I stayed in the 6th arrondissement (the glamorous Saint Germain des Prés), this time I wanted something different. Instead of the opulence of the area mentioned above, populated by the wealthiest of the Parisians, I wanted something unpretentious, real and just as chic.
After some research, the 11th arrondissement appeared to be the perfect choice and it proved to be so on the outside – when we first walked down its low-profile yet genuine Parisian streets, just as much as on the inside – the moment we stepped into Olivia`s apartment for the first time.
This place is an accurate representation of herself and although she is a complete stranger to me, after a couple of days in her place I feel like I`ve known her for a long time. Owner of a boutique in Marais and with fashion as part of her daily life, Olivia`s apartment seems to tell this story by itself. It is simply a joy to be living in this place, even if only for a limited amount of time!
I will come back with more photos of Paris in future posts. For the time being there is simply too much to enjoy in here!
