When summer’s distractions and indulgences are gone like leaves from the trees, what you are left with is the essence. Do you like your life beyond the summer holiday? Do you like your city even on the darkest of November days? If yes, then you are in a good place.
I am not mad about cold, wet days, but there is something about autumn I find particularly appealing. As if there is suddenly more to contemplate, more to be nostalgic about, more to wonder. So, I am looking forward to putting on my coat and favourite pair of boots, wrap myself in a warm scarf and rediscover the fragrances I keep for the cold season. Autumn means movies at the cinema, late night drinks in cosy bars, writing at home on rainy nights, burning scented candles, and dreaming big. Besides, Amsterdam is a good company even on the darkest of days, so nothing to worry about.
