Year’s beginnings are tough: winter holidays over, back to work, grey days. The good part is the streets are empty – emptier – and so are the coffee places and the shops.
We haven’t been out for a walk in Amsterdam since before Christmas. I don’t count the walks to the grocery store in the neighbourhood and the commute to work. So today we finally took our feet and the camera out for a walk.
When we felt like coffee and cake, we knew we had to go to Bocca, on Kerkstraat. Bocca is becoming our favourite place for coffee in Amsterdam and today we had the luxury of finding it so calm and cosy. Since I love their teas as well, I did not leave without getting a bag of Sencha, an algae flavoured blend. Another treat, I guess.
The greatest treats of all, however, was the walk along the arched bridges and streets in Reguliersgracht area. This part of town has such a lovely village feel about it, it might just become my go-to place for a walk to clear my head and get some inspiration at the same time.
That would be it about our Saturday afternoon. I wish you all a nice weekend!
