Yesterday, on my day off, I had a quick lunch with Dana, who was in her lunch break, then I went for a coffee with Ana, who was soon before starting work for that day.
The weather was amazing, sunny and quite warm for this time of the year. Ana and I finished our coffee rather quickly and off we went into the sunlight, walking the streets of Amsterdam with no particular destination in mind. I took some photos of her, then, just as we were crossing a bridge called Lekkeresluis – as Ana herself noticed with amusement – we faced a gorgeous view: low sunlight reflecting into the waters of Prinsengracht, houseboats on both sides of the canal, the Westerkerk somewhere in the distance. We had to stop and take all that in. It was a perfect moment and, just like all perfect moments, cannot exactly be described in words. I did my best to capture it on camera though.
