Today we’re saying goodbye to a week spent in England at my boyfriend’s family. As usual, time is flying, so it only feels like yesterday that we arrived here. And now, guess what, it’s already time to go back home.
I’m happy we managed to squeeze in – among decadent meals and late, lazy mornings – some visits to nearby villages. Driving through green hills and meandrous country roads, stopping for drinks at traditional pubs, and visiting old villages – all these reminded me of why I love the English countryside so much.
And now some photos I took while in Kinver on the second day of Christmas. Streets were quiet and shops were closed. As we entered the local pub to get some drinks, however, we realised that’s exactly where everybody else was. 🙂
