I can`t believe it`s more than a week since we returned from Barcelona. The memories, however, are still fresh.
We kept our promise and returned to Teresa Carles for breakfast. Just like the previous day, the food was simply delicious. Scrambled eggs with vegetables, full grain bread splashed with tomatoes and a hint of garlic, and a generous serving of fresh fruits – this is what I call a proper breakfast, sure to guarantee a good start of the day:
One last cup of coffee at Satan`s before going back to the apartment and pack our bags:
Around noon, we said goodbye to the place that served as our home in Barcelona for the last couple of days. We definitely enjoyed living in this old, historic building in Barri Gòtic, one step away from basically anything we could have needed:
With still a few hours left to spend in the city, we took the metro to Passeig de Gràcia, in Eixample district, then walked down Rambla de Catalunya. We had lunch at a popular cerveceria in the area (cannot remember the name though), then sat on a bench and looked at the people passing by, locals enjoying their Sunday in the sun:
It was not easy to say goodbye to Barcelona, but the fact that we discovered it as never before gave us a good feeling.
I hope you enjoyed this little travel reportage and, who knows, maybe you even got some tips for your next trip to Barcelona. 🙂
