Visiting Bridgnorth each time we`re in England for the winter holidays has become a little habit of ours that we have no intentions of letting go.
This charming English town is run through by the River Severn, which divides it into the High Town and the Low Town. The easiest way to reach the Hight Town is by taking the old funicular called “Cliff Railway”.
I can never get over those beautiful old façades, the coloured doors and window frames. Being here shortly before Christmas makes the experience even more enjoyable, as the entire town seems to breath in the holidays spirit.
After walking down the streets of both Hight Town and Low Town, taking lots of photos of the beautiful old houses, having a cup of coffee in a modern café (Costa) and a glass of wine in a pub dating from the 1800 (The Old Castle), we left Bridgnorth and drove to “The Fox”, a nice restaurant where we had a delicious dinner with Fish & Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding – my absolute favourite!
Oh, how I love winter holidays! 😊
