Iza was studying French the moment we arrived at this beautiful studio in the 17th arrondissement of Paris that she is now calling home.
The place felt comfortably warm, gracious and full of light – a loyal reflection of Iza herself.
I felt a sudden need to take out the camera and start capturing all those beautiful details: a Romanian poetry book by the coffee cup, a movie ticket promissing a voyage to China resting on the mantelpiece, a classy French velvet chair, a Champagne glass full of crayons and pens, a nicely illustrated city map on the bedroom`s wall, French homeworks on the sofa…
“Wait, that`s the wrong verb!” – Iza said playfully as I was taking a photo of the paper where “devoir” (the French for “must”) was conjugated at the present, past and future tense.
I must (!) say I am totally crazy about this lovely nest, where details are not just beautiful, but they carry a meaning as well.
