Amsterdam is a relatively small and compact city. Yet, there are things to be discovered at every step you might take.
The area along the Houtmankade, in the Western part of the city, was for sure an interesting experience.
With the Western “shore” in the Spaarndammerbuurt and the Eastern one in the Zeeheldenbuurt, Houtmankade area definitely feels edgier than some other parts of Amsterdam.
The old warehouses (nowadays, apartment buildings), the artist studios here and there on the adjacent streets, the quirky art on display – this is why I liked this area so much, from our first encounter ever, a few weeks ago.
Looking forward to walking on all the streets I have never walked on before in Amsterdam and to discovering more places like this one!
