Briefly, 2012 was a year of new beginnings and of continuing to discover Amsterdam by means of photography.
Compared to 2010 and 2011, this year was by far the most relaxing and enjoyable one. The need of learning and adapting was easily replaced by that of indulging and taking it all easy. The new people that came into my life contributed to this considerably.
As a side effect, I gave up on the Dutch lessons completely and, although my knowledge of the language improved with time, this was a consequence of every day life rather than of studying.
Here are some bits and pieces of my 2012:
I used to go out and take photos whenever time allowed:
Having coffee on the terrace on a sunny Winter day:
The tram station I used every morning when going to work:
Breakfast in February:
Spring found me with an agenda, an attempt of getting myself organised:
The beginning of a healthier lifestyle:
The more photos I took, the more time I spent editing:
Lovely evening on the terrace announcing the beginning of Summer:
Sunny breakfast at home:
June on Antillenstraat:
Making plans for Lisbon one morning, on the terrace:
Summer sunset from my window:
A random evening in August:
Already making plans of moving out:
One of the last photos taken before moving out of the loft (and out of the West):
One happy November morning into the new home:
A time of my life when I loved to bake, obviously!
My second Christmas tree in Amsterdam (did not have one the year before):
Christmas evening at home:
One of those peaceful days between Christmas and New Year:
