I`ve said it before and I will probably say it many times on this blog: Danube Delta is one of my favourite places in the world. The nature, the people, the peace – they all make me want to return there over and over again.
Luckily, there are some things about Amsterdam which – as incredible as it may seem – remind me of this piece of paradise in South-East Romania. After all, both Amsterdam and the Danube Delta are areas where water reigns and thus they share a similar kind of landscape and vegetation. And this is not all. 🙂
(First photo from each set is taken in Danube Delta, the second one – in Amsterdam)

7. Contemplative cats
8. Laundry on wires
9. Water lilies

These similarities become even more interesting if you think about the fact that the Danube Delta is such a remote, almost isolated place – even for Romanians! -, whereas Amsterdam is a world class city and a very significant connection hub.
