There are many locations of Pata Negra in Amsterdam, but the one next to Lloyd Hotel, in the Eastern Docklands, is definitely my favourite.
I can`t remember how exactly the idea of going there came to us on a very warm evening end of July (that is, before the raining season started!), but it proved to be one of the highlights of my Summer in the city
Of course we changed seats at least two times before getting a table by the water, but it was definitely worth the effort! 🙂 Drinking delicious Sangria and having tapas for dinner – all while watching the people of the docks going on with their lives in what I consider to be one of the best areas to live in Amsterdam – it still is a nice thing to remember and hope to repeat as soon as the rainy days go away.
Walking down by the waterside all the way back to the centre, I could see the locals having drinks with friends in front of their apartment buildings, gazing at the water and watching the boats passing by. Such an amazing Summer evening!
On nights like these, Amsterdam really is the place to be!
