Dutch people love festivals. If the festival revolves around food, then it`s even better!
The weekend of the Rolling Kitchens, which took place in Westerpark from May 28th until June 1st, was an event Amsterdammers were looking forward to. This was obvious by the big number of people who attended.
Westerpark was literally full on Saturday afternoon, when we showed up. After a recognition tour around the open air kitchens and a starter made of cajun potatoes from De Pieper Mobiel, we stopped to indulge in a vegetarian gyros from Vleesch Noch Visch – one of my favourites. For dessert, we chose some Dutch pancakes with strawberries.
The rest of the day was spent on the grass, enjoying the sun and thinking of Summer. 🙂
