De Pijp is probably that part of Amsterdam least present on my blog. The reason for this is that I don`t use to go out there unless I have a precise target. And the target is – most of the times – a bar or a restaurant, because that`s exactly what De Pijp is known for!
I`ve accidentally found out about the Artist from a colleague at work and this Sunday, after spending almost half of the day in the sun at Pllek, we`ve decided to head all the way to De Pijp and have dinner at this Lebanese restaurant. I am saying “all the way to” as Pllek is in Asterdam Noord and Lebanese Artist is in the South of the city.
I must say the trip was all worth it, as we`ve got both the nice view of the houses near Sarphatipark and a tasty vegetarian dinner at the restaurant located just near the park.
Once again, it has been confirmed to us that some of the best restaurants in Amsterdam (in terms of simple, good and tasty food) are those owned by a family, in this case by a Lebanese one. The people are incredibly nice, their only concern is to make you feel good and they seem to be friends with everyone living in the area. 🙂
